From the end user's point of view, the usability of our applications improves significantly. Distal supports both Virtu authentication (SAML based authentication used by Finnish authorities) and authentication solutions used by our customer companies", explains Matti Manninen, Director of applications at Arc Technology. </p> <p> Distal authentication will be used as part of Arc Technology's SaaS offering. Organisations use Arc R/T Resource to manage basic information, skills, development discussions and professional competences. </p> <p> Distal authentication is based on the utilization of the user's intranet user profile. Distal fetches selected user identity information either via the intranet or a SAML Identity Provider of the customer and passes it to Arc R/T Resouce. The user gets single sign-on based on that information. Easier sign-on and simplified user management drives usage, brings cost savings and improves security to both Arc Technology and its customers. </p> <p> "We are very satisfied that Arc Technology chose Distal to ease customer authentication and user management.
