ALD improves usability of corporate services with Emillion's Distal authentication

ALD Automotive, the leading service leasing company in Finland and one of the leading leasing companies in Europe, and Emillion, a forerunner in identity and access management solutions, has agreed on deploying Emillion's Distal authentication solution in ALD Automotive's Premier Pages service, which is used to serve their corporate customers.

ALD Automotive's PremierPages is a customer specific service for leasing car selection and car fleet management. The service offers all information related to car benefits in one place. "In order for the service to work well, it has to be easy for customers to access, straight from their intranet. The service will from now on be able to authenticate each user in a secure and easy way and show him or her the relevant content", says Olli Hakala, development director at ALD Automotive. "With Distal, authentication and user profile managament is easy, both for us and for our customers. It does not require particular technical expertise or time from our customers to start using our Premier Pages service. We get up-to-date information straight from the intranet of the customer, which we can use to automatically identify the user", Hakala continues.

Distal authentication is based on the utilization of the user's intranet user profile. Distal fetches user identity information from the intranet and passes it to ALD's service. This automates keeping the user information and access rights up-to-date. Easier sign-on and simplified user management brings cost savings and improved security to both ALD and its customers.
